Patenting Computer-Implemented Inventions after "Choueifaty"
Tuesday, December 1, 2020, 1 pm - 2 pm ET
Held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, 1 pm - 2 pm ET
On August 21, 2020, in Choueifaty v. Canada (Attorney General), 2020 FC 837 the Federal Court held that the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) erred in determining the essential elements of the claimed invention by using the “problem-solution” approach. This webinar will help attendees understand the implications of the Choueifaty decision on patent eligibility of computer-implemented subject matter and provide early tips on how to position pending patent applications for success.
