The discussion will focus on the considerations for mentoring looking through the diversity and equity lens:
For Mentors:
Understanding issues that mentees may have to address such as:
- Inclusion – within and outside the firm or organization
- How to deal with untoward comments from clients or colleagues
- Any special accommodation needed
For Mentees:
How to convey your concerns and effect change:
- Understanding the harassment policies in your workplace
- Effectively communicating your concerns to your mentor
- Finding and establishing support networks
