In recent months, many businesses have shifted focus to getting online and growing their online presence. The shift can create new opportunities, but also risks. Join us for a practical discussion of what you need to know when faced with unauthorized use of your copyrights online.
The webinar will cover best practices and dynamic and evolving tools for protecting and preventing unauthorized use of copyrights by users online. Attendees will learn about:
- Online monitoring and enforcement technology, including enforcement of rights in user generated content;
- Self-help strategies, including how to navigate the US notice and take-down regime and the Canadian notice and notice regime;
- Recent litigation strategies, including reverse class actions and site-blocking orders; and
- Enforcement strategies for live content online, including surrounding the ‘hot-news” doctrine.
