This continuing professional development webinar is offered on a complimentary basis to Certified Canadian Patent Administrators who have passed the Patent Administrator Certification Examination AND are members of IPIC.
Patent databases contain the public records for patents and patent applications. These public records provide various administrative details of patents and patent applications, including records of substantive examinations.
This session will provide examples to illustrate how to use the various patent databases for common administrative tasks (e.g. maintenance fee payment deadline, patent application details, etc.). The presenters will review and compare CIPO, USPTO, PatentScope, ESPACE and Google patent databases.
