This webinar will review and analyze the impact of recent amendments to the Patent Act and Trademarks Act on IP litigation in Canada. In particular, topics to be addressed include: the introduction of file wrapper estoppel to Canadian patent litigation and the implications of changes to the Opposition and Section 45 proceedings in the Trademarks Office to future trademark proceedings before the Federal Court. Key take-aways and learnings from recent developments, commentary and caselaw on these topics will be reviewed and discussed.
